Prof. Francis Mutua » Specialists

Prof. Francis Mutua is head of the surface water resources and hydrometeorology thematic unit at the University of Nairobi Department of Meteorology. He is a member of the African Meteorological Society (AMS), Kenya Meteorological Society (KMS) and the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS).

Prof Mutua has provided consultancy services in the area of water and climate for a wide range of international organisations, including the European Commission, FAO,  ATPS, the Lake Victoria Environmental Management Project (LVEMP), the Nile Basin Initiative, WWF, IUCN, UNDP/GEF, the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Center (ICPAC) and the Government of Kenya. He has also published extensively on the topic of water and climate and is an experienced facilitator for training workshops and seminars on hydrological issues and water resources management.
